Who is responsible and how to contact us
The website operator uses the name PokerWebsites.co.uk. For privacy questions or requests, email info@pokerwebsites.co.uk. This notice concerns this website, not the separate poker rooms linked from our comparison pages.
This notice is written for our UK audience with reference to the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 where they apply.
Information associated with a website visit
When a browser requests a page, image or redirect, the infrastructure providing the service receives technical information needed to handle that request. This can include an IP address, requested address, browser or device information, request time, response status and security-related information. Hosting infrastructure may process or log some of these details to deliver, maintain and protect the website.
The current public website does not offer visitor accounts, accept gambling deposits, collect payment-card details or contain a contact-form database. We have not installed advertising pixels, session-replay software or a visitor analytics script in the website application. This does not mean that hosting infrastructure processes no technical data.
Email enquiries
If you email us, the message can contain your email address, display name, message text, attachments and other details you choose to provide. Email providers involved in sending and receiving the message also process the delivery information needed to transport it.
We use enquiry information to read and respond to your request, investigate a reported problem and keep a relevant correspondence record. Please do not send passwords, full payment details, identity documents or unnecessary sensitive personal information. We cannot access a poker operator’s account systems using your email enquiry.
Calculator inputs
The public poker calculators run in your browser. Their current application code does not send entered cards, stack sizes, budgets or other calculator values to our server, nor does it save them in browser local storage. The calculator page and its supporting files still have to be requested from the hosting service.
If you choose to include calculator inputs or results in an email to us, those details become part of that correspondence. Closing or refreshing a page may reset its inputs, depending on the tool.
Why information is processed
Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, processing necessary to provide and secure the website or answer ordinary enquiries is based on legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. Those interests include operating a reliable public information service, preventing abuse and responding to visitors who contact us.
Information may also need to be processed to meet a legal obligation or deal with a legal claim. If a future feature needs consent, such as optional advertising tracking, the relevant information and any required consent control must be provided before that feature is used. We do not treat reading this notice as consent to unrelated marketing.
Service providers and other recipients
Replit provides the website hosting environment. Google Cloud infrastructure is used through the hosting and App Storage setup to deliver service resources, including public screenshot files. These providers may process technical request information as part of delivering, protecting and operating their services.
Email services process messages sent to our published address. We cannot identify every sending provider because that depends on the email service you use. Information may also be disclosed where a valid legal obligation requires it or where necessary to protect legal rights. We do not sell enquiry messages or calculator inputs to poker operators.
Operator links and cookies
Our Cookie Notice explains the current application’s use of browser storage and the distinction between our website, hosting-layer identifiers and cookies used by other websites.
Clicking a /go/ operator link sends your browser to an independent website. Your browser then connects with that service, which may receive network information, referral information or affiliate-link data and use its own cookies. Its own privacy and cookie notices apply there. We do not receive your operator password, payment information or gambling account history through that redirect.
Retention, security and international processing
We retain enquiry information only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain necessary records and meet applicable legal requirements or deal with a dispute. What is needed depends on the purpose and circumstances of the correspondence. Hosting and email providers also apply their own technical log and backup retention arrangements.
The website uses HTTPS for transport. Access to service administration and correspondence should be limited to those who need it, but no internet or email service is completely risk-free. Hosting and email infrastructure may process information outside the UK. Applicable international-transfer requirements and the relevant providers’ processing terms must be considered where such transfers occur.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or to object to processing of your personal information. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. These rights have conditions and exceptions; we may need proportionate information to verify a request.
Our Contact Us page explains how to send a privacy request. State the information or processing concerned without including unnecessary sensitive documents. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We do not use the website to make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Children and changes to this notice
The gambling-related website is intended for adults aged 18 or over, and we do not intentionally seek personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information so that the matter can be assessed and appropriate action taken.
We will update this page if the website’s processing changes. The date shown above identifies this version. New accounts, forms, analytics, newsletters or other data-collection features would require the notice to be reviewed before they are introduced.
